Ford Ranchero EV Truck to get small battery pack

InsideEVs.com reports that Ford is moving away from the “big battery” approach for its upcoming $30,000 entry-level electric pickup. While specific details are still under wraps, Ford hinted the truck will use a battery about half the size of the one in the base F-150 Lightning. Thanks to improved aerodynamics, reduced rolling resistance, and other efficiency gains, the smaller pack should still deliver enough range for everyday driving.
